i don't mind playing the guy at all but it gets annoying when people just assume they can play the girl. i have literally had 8 offers at a time and only one person is willing to play the male or the female. i've found that people that will only play the female are usually crappier slps (they aren't creative, flake, or are just writing to cockhop).

If you are playing a character born in the late 70's or early 80's, the chances are they won't be named one of the trendy names of 2009. They aren't likely to be named Madisyn, Chloe, Kyleigh, or Bryleigh. Most likely? They are named Jessica, Melissa, Sarah (thank you Hall and Oats) or Amanda. Especially Amanda, which it seemed every fifth girl in my grade was named. Middle names were Nicole, Renee (or variants) and Anne.
I know it's petty, but it drives me crazy.

Yes, I like to talk about my other lines with you, because I'm excited about them and I like them. We play fairly regularly, so don't take me talking to you about other lines that I have to mean something it doesn't -- such as, don't think it means I care less about our lines, because it doesn't. You talk to me about all of your other lines, about how awesome they are and how you have drama with them, yet I never accuse you of caring less about ours, so why do you do it to me?
In fact, why does EVERYONE I talk to do this to me? Guess I'll save my excitement from now on.

this is part vent, part funny story for all of you.
i hardly ever exit aim, so whenever i go to open up an im with someone there is usually a lot in there from past days. last night, my puppy jumped on my keyboard before i could stop him and started sliding all over the keys. so this morning, my dad walks out of our office with 19 pages of paper from the printer which had just been turned on, and hands me these papers and asks me if it looks familiar. um, basically...my puppy managed to print 70 pages' worth of ims with my character and someone else (luckily it ran out of paper after 19 and i was able to cancel the job). but the page that came out on top had words like "condoms" and "massage oils" on it...it was perfectly innocent because they were talking about a tv show, BUT MY DAD READ IT.

alright, the COLD is starting to become too much. this weather is getting in the way of role playing since my fingers are too cold to type! this wouldn't be a problem if i had a heater but i don't at the moment. wearing gloves helps but makes it awkward to type. :|
